Hello,
I am new to forum and am asking for a bit of advice. I have a GE dishwasher GSD3960. Yesterday, in order to access and clean the drain areas at the bottom of the dishwasher, I had to remove the lower spray arm. When I did I ended up breaking the two very brittle plastic clips that held the lower spray arm in place. Today, I ordered part number WD22x155 to replace the entire lower assembly (it seems like from the picture of the part that the outside housing that has the two plastic clips comes in one piece with the lower spray arm). I did some researching and all but one of the posts I read or videos I watched said that the piece with the two plastic clips 'just needs to be unscrewed'. I have tried and tried to unscrew this piece but it just moves about an 1/8 of an inch to the right and then stops. The other video I watched said I need to take the entire dishwasher out, lay it on its side, and remove this piece from the bottom of dishwasher. The problem with the posts and videos I saw were that none of the dishwashers in the examples looked exactly like my model on the inside. The ones that most closely resembled mine were the 'simply unscrew' directions.
Any suggestions or advice you could give to help me out would be greatly appreciated.
On the bright side, I did load up on paper plates in order to give me time to get this problem fixed.
Thanks.
